About SsangYong Tivoli
The SsangYong Tivoli is a five-seat compact crossover SUV introduced in 2015. It was the brand’s first small SUV and became an important model in SsangYong’s expansion beyond its larger, more traditional utility vehicles. Production is based in South Korea, and the model continues in selected markets under the KGM name following the company’s rebranding.
Designed mainly for urban and family use, the Tivoli combines a relatively compact footprint with a practical cabin and useful luggage space. It occupies the entry-level position in the brand’s SUV range, below models such as the Korando, and competes in the value-focused end of the small crossover class. Distinctive exterior styling, straightforward controls and generous equipment are among its recognised qualities.
Petrol and diesel engines have been offered depending on year and market, with manual or automatic transmissions and front- or all-wheel drive. Later versions commonly use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Equipment and powertrain availability vary considerably between countries.
The extended-body derivative has been sold under names including Tivoli XLV, Tivoli Air and Tivoli Grand. It retains five seats but provides substantially more cargo capacity. Facelifts have updated the Tivoli’s styling, cabin technology and driver-assistance features while preserving its focus on affordability, manoeuvrability and everyday practicality.
