About Volkswagen Taigun
The Volkswagen Taigun is a compact crossover SUV developed primarily for India and introduced in 2021. It was Volkswagen’s first model under the India 2.0 programme and uses the locally adapted MQB A0 IN platform. Production takes place at the Volkswagen Group plant in Pune, with vehicles also exported to several international markets.
The Taigun has remained within its first generation, receiving a major update in 2026 rather than a complete redesign.
