About Volkswagen ID.4
The Volkswagen ID.4 is a battery-electric compact crossover SUV unveiled in 2020 and launched in major markets from 2021. It was Volkswagen’s first purpose-built electric SUV and the second core model, after the ID.3, based on the Group’s MEB electric vehicle platform. Depending on the market and model year, versions include different battery capacities, rear-wheel drive or dual-motor all-wheel drive, and trim levels ranging from entry models to higher-specification Pro variants. The GTX name is used in some regions for the sportier all-wheel-drive model. China also receives locally tailored versions produced through Volkswagen’s joint ventures.
