About Volkswagen Delivery
Volkswagen Delivery is a family of light- and medium-duty cab-over trucks developed for urban distribution, local logistics and regional transport. Introduced in 2005, it is produced by Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus and is primarily associated with Latin American markets. Most examples are built at the company’s Resende plant in Brazil, with additional regional production supporting selected export markets.
The second generation arrived in 2017 as a newly developed range, extending the line into the 3.5-tonne class while retaining higher-capacity models. Delivery occupies the position between Volkswagen’s van-based commercial vehicles and the heavier Constellation truck family, making it a core choice for operators that need more capacity than a van without moving to a full-size heavy truck.
Versions vary by country and model year. The range has included the compact Delivery Express, conventional 4x2 chassis, higher-capacity 6x2 models and 4x4 variants for mixed urban and off-road work. The battery-electric e-Delivery adds an option intended mainly for urban fleets.
The Delivery is known for compact dimensions, good manoeuvrability and flexible chassis configurations. It can be adapted for box bodies, refrigerated transport, flatbeds, recovery equipment and other specialised uses. Its practical cab, broad weight range and focus on distribution work have established it as one of Volkswagen’s main truck lines in Latin America.
