The VinFast VF 7 is a five-seat battery-electric compact crossover in the C-SUV segment. Unveiled with VinFast’s wider electric range in 2022, it entered customer deliveries in Vietnam in March 2024. Within the brand’s SUV line-up, it sits between the smaller VF 6 and the larger VF 8, targeting buyers who want useful cabin space without moving to a full-size vehicle.
Created in collaboration with Italy’s Torino Design, the VF 7 is recognised for its low, coupe-influenced roofline, prominent wheel arches and wing-shaped lighting signature. Its interior uses a driver-focused layout built around a central touchscreen. Connected services, over-the-air software capability and a range of driver-assistance systems are important features, although equipment differs by market and specification.
The model is generally available in an efficiency-oriented, single-motor front-wheel-drive form and a more powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive version. Initially produced and sold in Vietnam, the VF 7 has since expanded to markets including India and Indonesia, with right-hand-drive models and local Indian assembly.
