About Toyota Noah
The Toyota Noah is a compact three-row minivan developed primarily for the Japanese market. The standalone model arrived in November 2001 alongside the closely related Voxy, following earlier LiteAce Noah and TownAce Noah vehicles. It occupies Toyota’s mainstream family-minivan range, offering more manageable dimensions and a stronger focus on everyday practicality than the larger, luxury-oriented Alphard.
Four generations debuted in 2001, 2007, 2014 and 2022. Although styling, platforms and technology have evolved, the Noah has retained its tall, box-shaped body, three-row cabin and sliding rear doors. The fourth generation uses Toyota’s TNGA GA-C platform and continues the model’s emphasis on efficient packaging, easy access and flexible passenger or luggage space.
Depending on generation and grade, versions include seven- or eight-seat layouts, petrol or petrol-electric hybrid powertrains, and front- or all-wheel drive. The range has also included more assertively styled aerodynamic grades and Welcab assisted-mobility models. The Noah is best known as a versatile family vehicle suited to urban driving, group travel and daily transport, combining substantial cabin capacity with dimensions tailored to Japanese roads.
