About Toyota Hilux
The Toyota Hilux is a body-on-frame pickup truck introduced in 1968. Conceived by Toyota and initially developed and built by Hino Motors in Japan, it evolved from a compact commercial vehicle into one of Toyota’s principal global light-duty trucks. Production later expanded to regional manufacturing centres, with the Hilux forming part of Toyota’s global IMV programme from 2004.
Nine generations have been introduced.
