About Toyota bZ3X
Toyota bZ3X is a battery-electric compact crossover developed for China by GAC Toyota. Previewed at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, it entered the Chinese market in March 2025. It belongs to Toyota’s bZ electric-vehicle family and represents a locally led product shaped around Chinese customer needs.
The five-seat model is 4.6 metres long and has a 2,765 mm wheelbase. Its upright shape favours cabin space and everyday practicality. Notable features include a large central display, multi-zone voice control and a range of parking and driving-assistance functions, although equipment differs by version.
The first generation remains the only generation. At launch, seven versions were offered with CLTC-rated ranges of 430, 520 or 610 km. Later updates broadened the line-up with equipment-focused Knight editions and lidar-equipped variants offering more advanced navigation and parking assistance.
Within GAC Toyota’s range, the bZ3X is positioned as an accessible, China-focused electric SUV below the larger bZ4X. It competes in the mass-market compact EV segment, with spacious packaging, several range choices, connected-cabin technology and value-oriented pricing among its defining qualities. Production and sales are handled by GAC Toyota.
