About Suzuki Ravi
The Suzuki Ravi is a compact, single-cab pickup produced in Pakistan by Pak Suzuki for several decades. Derived from an older generation of the Suzuki Carry, it was designed as a basic commercial vehicle for urban deliveries, small businesses, agriculture and light transport.
The Ravi retained the same cab-over layout and underlying design for most of its production life rather than progressing through distinct local generations. Later updates included Euro II emissions compliance, but its mechanical specification remained simple: a 796 cc three-cylinder petrol engine, four-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Major variations included the standard pickup with a factory-fitted cargo deck and a deckless version intended for buyers who wanted to install a specialised rear body. Its compact dimensions made it practical on narrow or congested roads, while the flat load area supported a range of small-scale commercial uses.
Within Suzuki’s Pakistani lineup, the Ravi served as the entry-level light pickup alongside passenger cars and the related Bolan van. It became known for straightforward construction, affordable maintenance and a widely established parts and service network rather than comfort, performance or modern equipment. Production was phased out during 2025 after a notably long market run.
