About Suzuki GSX-S
The Suzuki GSX-S is a family of road-focused sport motorcycles positioned between Suzuki’s fully faired GSX-R machines and more conventional standard or touring bikes. It combines sporty performance with upright ergonomics, giving it a stronger everyday-road focus than a track-oriented supersport model.
The modern range began with the GSX-S1000 and faired GSX-S1000F, launched for 2015 with production in Japan. Their street-tuned inline-four engine was derived from an earlier GSX-R1000 unit. A major redesign introduced in 2021 brought sharper styling, revised performance and more advanced rider electronics.
The badge has covered several capacities and formats, depending on market and model year. Variants have included the GSX-S125, four-cylinder GSX-S750, reduced-power GSX-S950 and 776 cc parallel-twin GSX-8S. The litre-class platform also developed into the GSX-S1000GT sport-tourer and GSX-S1000GX crossover, broadening the family beyond naked roadsters.
