About Suzuki Every

The Suzuki Every is a compact cab-over van developed mainly for Japan’s kei-vehicle category. Its roots lie in the Carry Van: the Every name first appeared on a passenger-oriented Carry Van grade in 1982 and became the unified van name in 1985. It has since served as Suzuki’s core tall-bodied light van alongside the Carry kei truck.

Successive generations have adapted to changes in Japanese kei regulations while retaining the same priorities: generous usable space within very small exterior dimensions, sliding side doors and a box-shaped body. The current DA17 generation was introduced in 2015 and has received several updates, including revised styling and equipment in 2026.

The range centres on the commercial Every, with work-focused grades and better-equipped JOIN versions. Depending on grade and model year, versions include naturally aspirated or turbocharged 660 cc engines, two- or four-wheel drive and several transmission choices. The Every Wagon is the passenger-oriented derivative, offering more comfort and trim. Earlier related models included the larger Every Plus and Every Landy, while the battery-electric e Every joined the Japanese range in 2026.

The Every is known for efficient packaging, a low cargo floor, flexible seating and easy access in confined spaces. It is widely suited to deliveries, trades and small businesses, while passenger and used-import examples are also valued for leisure, camping and practical urban transport.
