About Suzuki e VITARA
The Suzuki e VITARA is a compact battery-electric SUV and Suzuki’s first mass-produced global BEV. Unveiled in November 2024, it developed the ideas introduced by the earlier eVX concept. Although it carries the established VITARA name, it is a distinct electric model built on the dedicated HEARTECT-e platform rather than an adaptation of a combustion-powered vehicle.
Series production began in 2025 at Maruti Suzuki’s manufacturing complex in Hansalpur, Gujarat, India. The plant serves as the model’s global production base, supplying markets including India, Europe and Japan. As a recently introduced vehicle, the e VITARA remains in its first generation, with specifications and equipment varying by region.
Major versions include front-wheel-drive models with a single electric motor and ALLGRIP-e four-wheel-drive variants using separate front and rear motors. Depending on the market, buyers can choose between 49 kWh and 61 kWh lithium iron-phosphate battery packs. The larger battery is available with both two- and four-wheel drive.
