About Suzuki Boulevard
The Suzuki Boulevard is a North American cruiser motorcycle family introduced for the 2005 model year. It brought several established Suzuki cruisers, including motorcycles previously sold as the Savage, Intruder and Volusia, under one name, while adding variants such as the M50. Boulevard therefore covers multiple platforms rather than a single model line.
The range was organised into three broad styles. S models were relatively slim and simple, C versions featured traditional cruiser design, and M models adopted a muscular, performance-focused appearance. Numbers generally indicated engine displacement in cubic inches. Major versions included the S40, C50, M50, C90, M90 and the 1,783 cc M109R. Touring derivatives such as the C50T added equipment for longer-distance riding.
Development occurred through model-specific updates rather than clearly defined family-wide generations. Some Boulevards continued earlier Suzuki designs under new names, while others were introduced as new additions, with availability varying by market and year. Within Suzuki’s range, Boulevard occupies the low-slung cruiser category. The family is known for relaxed ergonomics, low seat heights, torque-focused engines and a choice between classic and modern cruiser styling.
