About Suzuki Bolan
The Suzuki Bolan was a compact cab-over microvan assembled in Pakistan by Pak Suzuki for decades. Derived from the Suzuki Carry family, it occupied the practical, entry-level end of the brand’s local range rather than the modern passenger-MPV segment. Its small footprint and box-shaped body suited crowded streets while providing useful passenger or load space.
The Bolan did not pass through a regular sequence of major generations. Its core body and mechanical layout remained broadly consistent, with incremental updates over its long production life. Later models used a 796 cc three-cylinder petrol engine with electronic fuel injection, Euro II emissions equipment and a four-speed manual gearbox. Key versions included the passenger-oriented VX and a two-seat Cargo van with a partitioned load area. An air-conditioned version was offered briefly.
In Pakistan, the Bolan became a familiar multipurpose vehicle for families, small businesses, deliveries and fleet work. It was known for simple construction, compact dimensions, flexible interior space and uncomplicated maintenance. By the end of production, however, its comfort, equipment and safety provision were basic beside newer vans. Production ended in 2024, after which the Suzuki Every assumed its place in Pak Suzuki’s lineup.
