About Suzuki B-King
The Suzuki B-King is a large-capacity naked motorcycle developed from a concept shown at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. The production model arrived in 2007 for the 2008 model year, retaining much of the concept bike’s muscular, futuristic appearance while replacing its proposed supercharged engine with a naturally aspirated unit.
Known by the GSX1300BK model code, the B-King uses a 1,340 cc liquid-cooled inline-four related to the second-generation Hayabusa engine. It combines this high-performance powertrain with a six-speed transmission, an aluminium twin-spar frame, upright handlebars and minimal wind protection. Suzuki’s two-mode Drive Mode Selector allows the rider to choose between different power-delivery settings.
The B-King occupied the flagship end of Suzuki’s naked-bike range. It was positioned less as a conventional all-rounder and more as a muscle bike or streetfighter, distinguished by its broad bodywork, large under-seat exhaust silencers and substantial road presence.
Only one generation was produced during its relatively short market life. Variations were mainly limited to colour and trim combinations, with ABS offered in certain markets alongside non-ABS versions. The model is chiefly known for strong acceleration, abundant torque, stable handling and unusually bold styling.
