About Suzuki Across

The Suzuki Across is a five-seat SUV nameplate introduced in Europe in 2020. The original model was supplied by Toyota under the companies’ collaboration agreement and shared its platform and plug-in hybrid technology with the Toyota RAV4. With distinctive Suzuki front styling, it occupied the upper end of the brand’s European SUV range, above the Vitara and S-Cross.

The first-generation Across combined a 2.5-litre petrol engine, a rechargeable battery and front and rear electric motors. Its E-Four electronic all-wheel-drive system, strong performance, useful electric-only capability and spacious cabin made it Suzuki’s flagship plug-in hybrid. Most markets offered a limited grade structure with generous standard equipment. Updates introduced for 2023 and 2024 concentrated on digital displays, connectivity and driver-assistance technology rather than major mechanical changes.

A second European generation was unveiled in February 2026. It retained the RAV4-based production context and plug-in hybrid, all-wheel-drive format, while adding a larger battery, updated electronics, new safety systems and a redesigned cabin.

The Across name is also used in selected markets outside Europe for a separate, smaller SUV introduced in 2026. This version uses a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, with manual or automatic transmission and equipment varying by region.
