About Saturn OUTLOOK
The Saturn OUTLOOK was a large three-row crossover sold for the 2007–2010 model years. Introduced during a broad renewal of the General Motors brand, it became Saturn’s largest vehicle and was positioned above the smaller VUE. It used GM’s unibody Lambda architecture, shared with several other GM crossovers, and combined SUV styling and capacity with more car-like road manners than a traditional body-on-frame utility vehicle.
The range centred on XE and better-equipped XR versions, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Depending on the second-row layout, the cabin seated seven with captain’s chairs or up to eight with a bench. All versions used a 3.6-litre V6 and six-speed automatic transmission, while direct fuel injection brought higher output for 2009.
The OUTLOOK is chiefly known for its spacious passenger compartment, usable third row, substantial cargo capacity and comfortable ride. These qualities made it Saturn’s main family-focused alternative to a minivan and placed it in the large crossover market. Production ended as General Motors wound down Saturn, leaving the OUTLOOK as a single-generation model with a relatively short run.
