About Nissan NX8
The Nissan NX8 is a mid-size electrified crossover SUV developed by Dongfeng Nissan for the Chinese market. It entered production in Guangzhou in early 2026 and went on sale in April that year. As the third model in Nissan’s China-focused N Series, after the N6 and N7 saloons, it is the range’s first SUV and expands the line into the family crossover segment.
The NX8 is currently in its first generation and has a two-row, five-seat layout. Its main variations are battery-electric and range-extended electric models, allowing buyers to choose between fully electric operation and a petrol generator supporting longer journeys. The battery-electric version uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and high-rate charging technology.
