About Nissan N7
The Nissan N7 is a battery-electric saloon developed for China by Dongfeng Nissan. Launched in April 2025, it was the first new-energy model based on the joint venture’s Tianyan architecture and marked a significant step in Nissan’s move towards locally developed electric vehicles for the Chinese market.
The N7 is a mid-to-large five-door saloon with a long wheelbase, front-wheel drive and a single electric motor. Its low, streamlined body is designed to improve efficiency while providing a spacious cabin. The model is known particularly for its comfort-focused interior, supportive seating, large central display, connected services and available driver-assistance technology.
The first generation is offered in several Air, Pro and Max versions. Depending on specification, it uses a 58 kWh or 73 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and a 160 kW or 200 kW motor. Official CLTC range figures vary by version, reaching up to 635 km. All versions support rapid charging and vehicle-to-load power output. Knight editions introduced in 2026 add sportier exterior and interior styling to selected long-range variants.
Within Nissan’s Chinese lineup, the N7 sits as a competitively priced electric alternative to established family saloons. It complements the N6 plug-in hybrid and helps broaden the brand’s locally tailored electrified range, with an emphasis on cabin comfort, digital features, usable range and everyday practicality.
