About Nissan Livina
The Nissan Livina is a compact multi-purpose vehicle introduced in China in 2006 and later sold across several Asian, African and Latin American markets. The original model used a low, car-like body rather than a traditional tall minivan shape. It was offered as a shorter five-seat Livina and an extended three-row version known as the Grand Livina or Livina Geniss, depending on the market.
First-generation variations included different petrol engines, manual and automatic transmissions, and the X-Gear, which added crossover-style body cladding and trim. A major redesign arrived in 2013, while retaining the model’s emphasis on manageable dimensions, passenger space and everyday road manners.
The second-generation Livina debuted in Indonesia in 2019. Developed within the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, it is based on the Mitsubishi Xpander and produced by Mitsubishi Motors in Indonesia, with distinct Nissan front and rear styling. This generation is exclusively a seven-seat compact MPV and has also been offered in the Philippines.
Within Nissan’s regional range, the Livina serves as a practical family vehicle positioned between passenger cars and larger people carriers. It is known for flexible three-row seating, useful cabin storage, rear air conditioning and relatively high ground clearance for an MPV.
