About Nissan Armada

The Nissan Armada is a full-size, body-on-frame SUV introduced for the 2004 model year. It serves as Nissan’s flagship SUV in North America, positioned above the Pathfinder and designed for buyers needing three-row seating, substantial towing ability and available four-wheel drive. Depending on configuration, it accommodates seven or eight occupants.

Three generations have been offered. The original Armada shared its basic architecture with the Nissan Titan pickup and was built in Mississippi. The second generation arrived for 2017 with engineering derived from the globally sold Nissan Patrol, giving the model a more refined cabin while retaining traditional truck-based construction. The third generation debuted for 2025, continuing the Patrol connection with a redesigned platform, updated technology and a twin-turbocharged V6 in place of the previous V8.

Armada versions range from general-purpose SV and SL models to luxury-oriented Platinum and Platinum Reserve grades. The PRO-4X variation adds off-road-focused equipment, while the NISMO version introduced for 2026 provides sportier styling and increased output. Across its generations, the Armada is known for a spacious interior, strong towing capacity, robust construction and a balance of utility and comfort.
