About Nissan Aprio

The Nissan Aprio was a compact four-door sedan sold in Mexico from 2007 to 2010. It was Nissan’s version of the first-generation Dacia/Renault Logan, developed within the Renault-Nissan Alliance and built at Renault’s Curitiba plant in Brazil. The model adapted an established low-cost platform for a market where Nissan had a strong sales and service network.

Only one Aprio generation was offered. Its tall, upright body prioritised passenger space, easy access and a large 510-litre boot rather than sporty styling. Within Nissan’s Mexican range, it occupied the affordable end of the sedan market and suited practical family, business and fleet use.

The Aprio used front-wheel drive and a 1.6-litre, 16-valve petrol engine producing 103 hp. A five-speed manual transmission was available from launch, while a four-speed automatic joined the range in 2008. Versions included Base, Custom, Emotion and Premium, with differences in comfort features, wheels and safety equipment. Upper trims could include airbags and anti-lock brakes.

The model is known mainly for its roomy cabin, useful luggage capacity, straightforward mechanical layout and functional design. Although closely related to the Logan, the Nissan badge placed it within the brand’s local value-focused passenger-car line.
