About Mitsubishi Destinator
The Mitsubishi Destinator is a seven-seat midsize crossover SUV introduced in Indonesia in July 2025. It evolved from the Mitsubishi DST Concept displayed in 2024 and is the brand’s third global strategic model developed and built in Indonesia, following the Xpander and Xforce. Production takes place in Bekasi, West Java, with distribution centred on ASEAN and expanding to selected markets in South Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
Only one generation has been produced to date. The Destinator uses a front-wheel-drive, monocoque platform and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. Five selectable drive modes and Active Yaw Control are designed to improve stability and traction on different road surfaces, despite the absence of four-wheel drive.
Depending on the market, the range includes grades such as GLS, Exceed and Ultimate, with differences in interior trim, infotainment, driver-assistance equipment and comfort features. Its main qualities include three-row practicality, generous ground clearance, a spacious cabin and an SUV-oriented exterior.
Within Mitsubishi’s range, the Destinator sits above the compact Xforce in size and provides a more SUV-like alternative to the Xpander crossover MPV. It is primarily positioned as a family model, combining seven-seat capacity and everyday road comfort with the robust styling associated with Mitsubishi SUVs.
