About Mitsubishi Delica Mini
The Mitsubishi Delica Mini is a Japanese-market super-height kei wagon that brings themes from the larger Delica D:5 into a much smaller, urban-friendly format. Introduced in May 2023, it joined Mitsubishi’s domestic kei-car range as a rugged, leisure-oriented alternative to conventional tall microcars. Despite the name, it is not simply a shortened Delica van; it is a four-seat model designed around Japan’s kei-vehicle regulations.
Its upright body, sliding rear doors and flexible rear seating prioritise cabin space and everyday practicality. SUV-inspired details, water- and stain-resistant materials on early models, and features intended for gravel, snow and steep descents reinforce its outdoor image. Versions have included naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines, with front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive depending on the grade.
The Delica Mini entered its second generation with a full redesign in October 2025. The newer model retained the friendly semicircular lighting and boxy proportions while adding more cabin room, revised suspension, expanded driver-assistance technology and selectable drive modes. Within Mitsubishi’s lineup, it sits below the Delica D:5 and combines kei-car manoeuvrability with a stronger adventure theme than a conventional super-height wagon. It is known mainly for distinctive styling, a spacious interior and an unusual emphasis on all-weather usability in its class.
