About Mitsubishi Delica D:2
The Mitsubishi Delica D:2 is a five-seat compact minivan sold mainly in Japan. Introduced in March 2011, it brought the Delica name into a smaller, urban-focused class. It is an OEM model supplied by Suzuki and closely related to the Suzuki Solio. Within Mitsubishi’s range, it serves as a more compact, road-oriented alternative to the larger Delica D:5.
Three generations have appeared. The original model was replaced by a second generation in December 2015, followed by the third generation in December 2020. Each uses a tall body, two sliding rear doors and a space-efficient cabin designed to provide useful passenger and luggage room within compact exterior dimensions.
The range has included standard Delica D:2 models and more assertively styled Delica D:2 Custom versions. Depending on generation and grade, powertrain choices have included petrol, mild-hybrid and full-hybrid systems, with front-wheel drive and selected four-wheel-drive variants. Current models combine a mild-hybrid powertrain with a CVT.
