About MINI Clubman
The MINI Clubman is a compact estate with styling influenced by shooting brakes. The name first appeared in 1969, while the modern BMW-era model arrived in 2007. It combined MINI’s characteristic design and agile road manners with more passenger and luggage space than the brand’s hatchbacks.
The 2007 model was distinguished by two side-hinged rear doors and an unusual rear-hinged side door. A larger generation introduced in 2015 adopted four conventional passenger doors while retaining the split rear doors, creating a practical six-door layout with five seats. This version moved the Clubman further into the premium compact class, offering greater comfort and long-distance usability.
Depending on model year and market, the range included Cooper, Cooper S and performance-focused John Cooper Works versions, along with petrol or diesel engines, manual or automatic transmissions and optional ALL4 all-wheel drive. The short-lived Clubvan was a two-seat commercial derivative of the earlier modern Clubman.
Positioned above MINI’s hatchbacks but below the Countryman SUV in height and utility, the Clubman was known for distinctive design, a versatile cabin and car-like handling. Production at MINI Plant Oxford ended in February 2024, with the limited Final Edition marking the end of the model line.
