About Mercedes-Benz EQT
The Mercedes-Benz EQT is a battery-electric compact passenger van designed mainly for families and leisure users. Previewed by the Concept EQT in 2021, the production model went on sale in 2023 as the electric counterpart to the T-Class. It belongs to Mercedes-Benz Vans’ privately oriented range and sits below the larger EQV.
The EQT was developed within the Renault–Mercedes-Benz small-van partnership and is closely related to the contemporary Citan and Renault Kangoo family. Production is based in Maubeuge, France. Only one generation has been offered, with standard-length and long-wheelbase body styles sold in selected markets.
Known as the EQT 200, it uses a 90 kW electric motor and a 45 kWh battery. Its main strengths are compact exterior dimensions, a spacious and adaptable cabin, sliding doors on both sides and a low loading edge. The underfloor battery installation preserves much of the T-Class model’s passenger and luggage flexibility. Equipment varies by market and trim, but MBUX infotainment, connectivity functions and a broad selection of driver-assistance systems are key features. The EQT occupies a specialised position, combining the practicality of a small MPV with quiet, locally emission-free electric driving and Mercedes-Benz interior and technology elements.
