About Mercedes-Benz EQE
Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQE in 2021, with market launches beginning in 2022. It is a battery-electric executive model positioned below the flagship EQS, bringing much of that car’s dedicated EV technology, comfort focus and digital equipment to a smaller format. Within the brand’s range, it occupies the traditional E-Class market space.
The family includes the EQE saloon, called the EQE Sedan in some countries, and the five-seat EQE SUV. Both use the EVA2 architecture developed for larger Mercedes-Benz electric cars. Saloon production is based in Bremen for global markets and Beijing for China, while the SUV is assembled in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The EQE remains in its first generation. Depending on market and model year, versions include rear-wheel-drive models, dual-motor 4MATIC variants and Mercedes-AMG performance derivatives. Numbered designations such as 300, 350 and 500 distinguish different powertrain levels, while AMG 43 and 53 versions place greater emphasis on performance.
The model is known for streamlined one-bow styling, a quiet cabin, smooth acceleration and long-distance comfort. Available equipment can include air suspension, rear-axle steering, advanced driver assistance, charging-aware navigation and the MBUX Hyperscreen. The SUV adds a higher seating position and more flexible luggage space while remaining below the larger EQS SUV.
