Mercedes-Benz introduced the EQB in 2021 as a battery-electric compact SUV and the electric counterpart to the GLB. Known internally as the X243, it combines a relatively upright, space-efficient body with styling developed for the Mercedes-EQ range. Production began in Kecskemét, Hungary, in 2021.
