About Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a compact executive, or midsize luxury, model positioned between the smaller CLA and the larger E-Class. Its roots extend to the W201 Mercedes-Benz 190, introduced in 1982, while the C-Class name first appeared with the W202 generation in 1993. It has become one of the brand’s main global model families.
Five generations have carried the C-Class name: W202, W203, W204, W205 and W206. The W206 arrived in 2021 and received a major update in 2026, alongside the introduction of an all-new battery-electric C-Class. Saloon and estate models have formed the core range, while earlier generations also offered SportCoupé or CLC, coupé and cabriolet variations. Mercedes-AMG performance versions have featured across several generations.
