The Mazda Flair Wagon is a tall kei-class passenger vehicle designed mainly for the Japanese market. Introduced in June 2012, it gives Mazda a practical, space-efficient family model within Japan’s tightly regulated kei-car category. Four generations have appeared. The original model had a short production run before the second generation arrived in April 2013. Further redesigns followed in February 2018 and December 2023. Although styling, equipment and safety technology have evolved, the basic formula has remained consistent: five-door bodywork, sliding rear doors, upright seating and flexible passenger and luggage space.
Major versions include the standard Flair Wagon, the more distinctively styled Custom Style and the rugged-looking Tough Style. Depending on generation and grade, buyers can find naturally aspirated or turbocharged 660 cc engines, mild-hybrid assistance, CVT transmissions and a choice of front- or four-wheel drive. A wheelchair-accessible version is also offered.
