About Lotus Emeya
The Lotus Emeya is a battery-electric, four-door grand tourer with a low fastback body. Unveiled in September 2023, it entered customer delivery in 2024 as Lotus’s first production four-door GT and a flagship of the brand’s expanding electric range.
Developed through Lotus teams in the UK, Germany and China, the Emeya is manufactured in Wuhan, China, alongside the Eletre SUV. It represents Lotus’s newer electric-luxury direction but serves a distinct role: a road-focused performance GT offering greater passenger space and long-distance comfort than the Emira sports car, while being less exclusive than the limited-production Evija hypercar.
Current line-ups group the model into Emeya 600 and Emeya 900 series, although names and equipment vary by market and model year. Both use dual-motor all-wheel drive, while the 900 is the higher-output version and adds a two-speed rear transmission. Earlier versions were marketed as Emeya, Emeya S and Emeya R in some regions.
The Emeya is known for combining strong electric performance with grand-touring refinement. Notable features include an 800-volt electrical architecture, rapid DC charging capability, electronically controlled air suspension and active aerodynamic elements such as a deployable rear wing. Its cabin emphasises digital displays, connected functions and premium materials. Overall, it places Lotus in the luxury electric performance segment while retaining a clear focus on handling and driver involvement.
