About Lincoln MKT
The Lincoln MKT was a full-size luxury crossover offered for the 2010–2019 model years. It combined three-row seating with a lower, more car-like profile than the Navigator. Positioned above the smaller MKX and below Lincoln’s flagship SUV, it suited buyers seeking generous passenger and cargo space without a traditional body-on-frame design.
Built in Oakville, Ontario, the MKT remained in a single generation. A substantial update for 2013 introduced revised styling, interior changes and newer technology, but the basic platform continued through the end of production. Retail models generally seated six or seven people, with either second-row captain’s chairs or a bench.
Powertrain choices included a naturally aspirated 3.7-litre V6 and a more powerful twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6. Front-wheel drive was available on some versions, while all-wheel drive was offered more widely and paired with the EcoBoost engine. The MKT was known for strong available performance, a flexible cabin, quiet cruising and distinctive styling that blended crossover and luxury-wagon themes.
Lincoln also offered the MKT Town Car for professional transport, including livery and limousine use. This variation continued the brand’s presence in chauffeured services after the traditional Town Car sedan. The MKT received no second generation and left the range after 2019 as Lincoln reorganised its SUV line-up around models such as the Aviator.
