About Lincoln Mark LT
The Lincoln Mark LT is a full-size luxury pickup based on the Ford F-150. Introduced for the 2006 model year, it succeeded the short-lived Blackwood and gave Lincoln a more conventional, useful truck. Unlike its predecessor, it had an open cargo bed, while its four-door crew-cab body provided generous passenger space.
The first generation was offered in the United States, Canada and Mexico for 2006–2008. It combined F-150 structure and mechanical components with Lincoln-specific body details, chrome trim and a more luxurious interior. Rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive were available, as were short- and long-bed configurations in certain markets. A 5.4-litre V8 was standard.
The Mark LT left the US and Canadian lineups after 2008, but its stronger reception in Mexico led to a second generation for that market from 2010 through 2014. This model used the newer F-150 as its basis and was closely related to the premium F-150 Platinum, distinguished mainly by Lincoln styling and trim. Later versions used a 5.0-litre V8.
Within Lincoln’s range, the Mark LT served as a luxury truck counterpart to the brand’s large SUVs. It is known for combining proven Ford pickup engineering and genuine cargo and towing ability with a spacious, comfort-focused cabin and a more formal appearance.
