About Lexus UX
The Lexus UX is a subcompact luxury crossover developed as an urban-focused entry point to the Lexus range. It debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and entered production later that year. Built in Japan on the GA-C platform, it combines crossover styling and a raised seating position with dimensions and road manners closer to a compact hatchback.
The model remains in its first generation, although Lexus has introduced updates to body rigidity, multimedia, safety technology and powertrains. Early versions included the petrol UX 200 and hybrid UX 250h, with front-wheel drive or E-Four electric all-wheel drive depending on market. The UX 300e, launched in 2020, was Lexus’s first production battery-electric vehicle. The newer UX 300h uses a fifth-generation hybrid system and has replaced the UX 250h in some markets. F Sport versions add sportier design and chassis details without changing the model’s basic role.
Positioned below the NX in most Lexus line-ups, the UX targets buyers seeking premium finish and efficiency in a city-friendly package.
