About Lexus TZ
The Lexus TZ is a three-row battery-electric luxury SUV unveiled in May 2026 for the 2027 model year. It is Lexus’s first fully electric SUV with three seating rows and is expected to go on sale in the United States at the end of 2026. The model expands the brand’s electric range beyond the smaller, two-row RZ while offering a battery-powered option for buyers who need the passenger space of a larger family SUV.
The TZ begins with a single generation developed around a low-floor, long-wheelbase platform. All-wheel drive is standard, using Lexus’s DIRECT4 dual-motor system. Two lithium-ion battery capacities have been announced: 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh. Select versions are expected to provide an estimated range of up to 300 miles. Grade names and final pricing had not been confirmed as of August 2026.
Within the Lexus SUV line-up, the TZ emphasises quietness, ride comfort and space across all three rows rather than off-road ability. Notable features include second-row captain’s chairs, flexible folding rear seats, a panoramic roof and available dynamic rear steering. Its design also prioritises aerodynamic efficiency, while the interior uses materials such as forged bamboo, bio-based upholstery and recycled aluminium.
