About Lexus LS
The Lexus LS is the brand’s full-size flagship luxury sedan and one of the models that established Lexus as a global premium marque. The original LS 400 entered production in Japan in 1989 and launched with the Lexus brand in the United States. It targeted the upper luxury class, emphasising quietness, comfort, build quality and smooth performance.
The LS has evolved through five generations. Early models used the LS 400 name, followed by the LS 430 and fourth-generation LS 460. The latter also brought long-wheelbase LS 460L variants and the hybrid LS 600h and LS 600hL. Introduced in 2017, the fifth generation adopted the rear-wheel-drive GA-L platform and a lower, coupe-influenced profile. Its main versions are the twin-turbo V6 LS 500 and petrol-electric LS 500h, with rear- or all-wheel drive and F Sport or comfort-focused grades offered in some markets.
