About Lexus CT
The Lexus CT is a premium compact five-door hatchback introduced as the brand’s first model in this segment. Previewed in 2010 and launched in 2011, it was designed as a smaller, more accessible entry point to the Lexus range, particularly for buyers seeking an alternative to conventional compact luxury cars.
Sold mainly as the CT 200h, the model used a petrol-electric hybrid system combining a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. The CT remained within a single generation throughout production. Specifications varied by market, with regular comfort-focused grades joined by F Sport versions featuring more assertive design details and sport-oriented chassis tuning.
Produced in Japan until October 2022, the CT occupied the lower end of the Lexus passenger-car line-up. It is known for combining hatchback practicality with hybrid efficiency, distinctive styling and a more premium interior than many mainstream compact cars.
