About Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
The Range Rover Evoque is a compact luxury SUV introduced in 2011 as a smaller and more accessible entry point to the Range Rover family. It brought the brand’s design, refinement and all-terrain character into a vehicle intended primarily for urban and everyday use. Production began at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood plant in the United Kingdom.
The first generation was offered in five-door and three-door Coupé forms. A four-seat Convertible with a folding fabric roof joined the range in 2016, providing an unusual variation within the compact SUV class. The second generation was revealed in 2018 and adopted a five-door body, updated technology and an architecture designed to accommodate electrified powertrains.
Depending on model year and market, the Evoque has used petrol or diesel engines, with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive offered on some versions. Later ranges introduced mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid options. Equipment levels and trim names also vary by region.
Positioned below the Range Rover Velar, the Evoque is known for its distinctive coupé-like profile, compact dimensions and premium cabin. It combines road-focused comfort and manoeuvrability with features such as Terrain Response, giving it more capability on poor surfaces and in difficult weather than many style-led compact crossovers.
