About Lamborghini Sián
The Lamborghini Sián is a limited-production V12 hybrid supercar introduced in 2019 as the brand’s first production hybrid. Its name means “lightning” in the Bolognese dialect, while the FKP 37 designation honours Ferdinand Karl Piëch and his birth year. Created as a “few-off” model, it sits above Lamborghini’s regular production cars as an exclusive technology and design showcase.
The Sián FKP 37 coupé was limited to 63 examples, referencing Lamborghini’s founding in 1963. The open-top Sián Roadster followed in 2020, with production restricted to 19 cars. Both use a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 assisted by a 48-volt electric motor integrated into the gearbox, delivering a combined 819 CV. Energy is stored in a lightweight supercapacitor rather than a conventional hybrid battery.
Carbon-fibre construction, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering and active aerodynamic elements support its performance-focused character. Its sharp, futuristic styling also includes references to the Countach, particularly in its low wedge-shaped profile and geometric details.
Within Lamborghini’s range, the Sián helped connect the Aventador era with the company’s later electrified V12 models. It is best known for its rarity, extensive factory personalisation and early use of hybrid assistance while retaining a naturally aspirated V12.
