About Lamborghini Reventón
The Lamborghini Reventón is a limited-production, two-seat, mid-engined V12 supercar introduced in 2007. Developed during the Murciélago era, it combined established Lamborghini mechanical engineering with a completely redesigned body created by the brand’s Centro Stile.
Its defining feature is its angular, aeronautics-inspired appearance. Fighter-aircraft influences are visible in the sharp surfaces, large air intakes and digital cockpit-style instrumentation. Carbon-fibre composite body panels and a chassis combining steel with carbon-fibre reinforcements also demonstrated materials and design ideas that Lamborghini later applied more widely.
The original Reventón Coupé was limited to 20 examples. A Reventón Roadster followed in 2009, with production restricted to 15 cars. Both versions used a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, while the Roadster provided an open-top interpretation of the same dramatic design concept.
Within Lamborghini’s range, the Reventón sat above the regular series-production models as an exceptionally rare collector vehicle. It established the company’s modern “Few-Off” approach, later continued by other highly limited V12 models. The Reventón remains best known for its rarity, aircraft-inspired styling, carbon-fibre construction and role in shaping Lamborghini’s subsequent design direction.
