About Lamborghini Centenario
The Lamborghini Centenario is a limited-production, mid-engined V12 super sports car created to mark the centenary of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s birth. Presented in 2016, it was conceived as a Few Off model rather than a regular series-production car, placing it among the brand’s rarest road vehicles. All 40 examples were allocated before its public debut.
Production comprised 20 coupés and 20 Roadsters, with deliveries beginning in 2017. Both use a carbon-fibre monocoque and body, a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 producing 770 CV, a seven-speed ISR transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive. The coupé reaches 100 km/h in a claimed 2.8 seconds, while the Roadster requires 2.9 seconds; both have a stated top speed above 350 km/h.
Within Lamborghini’s range, the Centenario served as a technology and design showcase rather than a replacement for another model. It was the first Lamborghini fitted with rear-wheel steering and also featured active rear aerodynamics and a central touchscreen supporting infotainment and telemetry. Its angular bodywork, extensive use of carbon fibre and extremely small production run define its collector-focused position, while the coupé and open-top Roadster are its principal variations.
