About Kia Rio
The Kia Rio is a front-wheel-drive subcompact car introduced in 1999 as the successor to the Pride. Developed as a global model, it became an important entry point to the Kia passenger-car range and one of the brand’s best-selling nameplates. Depending on the market and generation, it was offered as a four-door saloon, five-door hatchback and, in some periods, a three-door hatchback.
Four generations were produced, with the fourth making its European debut for the 2017 model year.
