About Kia EV2
The Kia EV2 is a battery-electric B-segment SUV and the smallest dedicated electric model in Kia’s line-up. Previewed by the Concept EV2 in February 2025, the production model debuted in January 2026. It sits below the EV3, providing a more accessible entry point to the brand’s EV range and focusing on urban use without adopting a conventional city-car format.
Designed, engineered and built in Europe, the EV2 entered production at Kia’s Žilina plant in Slovakia in March 2026. It is the second fully electric Kia produced there after the EV4. As a recently introduced nameplate, the EV2 remains in its first generation. Its main variations comprise standard-range and long-range models, plus GT-Line versions with distinct exterior and interior styling. Market-specific trim structures may differ.
The EV2 uses Kia’s E-GMP architecture with a front-mounted motor and front-wheel drive. Battery choices include 42.2 kWh and 61.0 kWh units. The model is known for combining compact exterior dimensions with an upright SUV shape, a flexible cabin and sliding rear seats on selected versions.
