About Hyundai Santa Cruz
The Hyundai Santa Cruz is a compact four-door pickup developed mainly for North America. Previewed by the 2015 HCD-15 concept, the production model arrived for the 2022 model year as Hyundai’s first pickup offered in the United States. Hyundai calls it a Sport Adventure Vehicle because it combines a passenger-focused cabin and crossover-like road manners with a short open cargo bed. It was designed in California and is assembled in Montgomery, Alabama.
The Santa Cruz remains in its first generation. A substantial update for 2025 brought a more upright front design, a revised interior, new display technology and additional driver-assistance features. Versions have included naturally aspirated and turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engines, front- or all-wheel drive, and trims ranging from practical entry models to the rugged XRT and better-equipped Limited.
