About Honda Ridgeline
The Honda Ridgeline is a five-seat midsize crew-cab pickup developed mainly for North America. Introduced for the 2006 model year, it gave Honda an entry in the pickup segment while taking a different approach from conventional body-on-frame trucks. Its unibody construction and independent suspension favour a comfortable ride, stable handling and efficient cabin packaging.
The model has had two generations. The first established signature features including a wide, flat cargo bed, a lockable compartment beneath the bed floor and a tailgate that can fold down or swing open. The second generation arrived for 2017 after a production break, adopting more conventional pickup styling while retaining the same practical layout. The original was built in Canada, while the second generation is manufactured in Alabama, United States.
Versions have included the entry-level Sport, comfort-oriented RTL, off-road-styled TrailSport and more highly equipped Black Edition. The Ridgeline occupies a distinctive position in Honda’s light-truck range as the brand’s pickup alternative to its SUVs. It is best known for combining everyday refinement and a roomy, flexible cabin with useful open-bed carrying ability, rather than emphasising heavy-duty towing or extreme off-road use.
