About Honda N-VAN
The Honda N-VAN is a kei-class light commercial van developed mainly for the Japanese market. Introduced in July 2018, it brought Honda’s N-series packaging approach to the small commercial-vehicle segment. It uses a platform related to the N-BOX but is configured around cargo capacity, frequent access and everyday business use.
The model is known for its tall, box-shaped body, low and flat load floor, and fold-down passenger and rear seats. A pillarless opening on the left side combines the front passenger door and sliding rear door to provide wide access for loading. These features also suit recreational equipment, camping conversions and other personal uses.
The N-VAN remains in its first generation, with updates to equipment, styling and safety technology over time. Gasoline versions include work-focused G and L models, along with the more lifestyle-oriented FUN. Depending on version, naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines, CVT and six-speed manual transmissions, and front- or four-wheel drive have been offered.
Honda expanded the range with the N-VAN e:, an electric derivative launched in Japan in October 2024. Available in several seating and cargo configurations, it retains the basic van’s practical layout. Within Honda’s lineup, the N-VAN serves as the commercial and utility-focused member of the N family, positioned for urban deliveries, trades and flexible private use.
