About Honda N-ONE
The Honda N-ONE is a compact five-door kei hatchback developed primarily for Japan. Introduced in 2012 as the third model in Honda’s modern N Series, it draws visual inspiration from the 1967 N360, particularly through its round headlamps, upright proportions and simple shape. Within Honda’s kei-car range, it provides a lower, more car-like alternative to the taller N-BOX, combining urban dimensions with seating for four.
The first generation was produced from 2012 to 2020 and offered in standard, Premium and turbocharged Tourer forms, alongside appearance packages and two-tone finishes. The second generation arrived in 2020. It retained the established exterior theme but introduced a more minimalist cabin, updated safety technology and a platform shared with the N-BOX. Major versions have included Original, Premium, turbocharged Premium Tourer and the sporty RS. Depending on version and model year, the range has used naturally aspirated or turbocharged 660 cc engines, CVT transmissions and front- or four-wheel drive. The RS is notable for its six-speed manual and front-wheel-drive layout.
The N-ONE is known for space-efficient packaging, compact manoeuvrability, retro-influenced styling and a greater focus on driving character than many kei cars. Honda expanded the nameplate with the battery-electric N-ONE e: in 2025, retaining its practical format for everyday use.
