About Honda Avancier
The Honda Avancier name has been used for two distinct vehicles rather than a continuous model line. The original Avancier was sold in Japan from 1999 to 2003 as a mid-size, five-door estate. Its five-seat layout prioritises rear-passenger space and comfort rather than offering a third seating row. A broad body, gently sloping roofline and substantial road presence distinguish it from Honda’s smaller crossovers.
Current versions use turbocharged petrol engines. The 240 Turbo pairs a 1.5-litre engine with a continuously variable transmission, while the 370 Turbo combines a 2.0-litre engine with a nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard on most variants, with all-wheel drive available on selected 2.0-litre models.
