About Ford F-MAX
The Ford F-MAX is a cab-over-engine heavy-duty tractor designed for long-distance road transport. Introduced at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover in 2018, it became the flagship of the Ford Trucks range and was named International Truck of the Year 2019. Developed and produced in Türkiye by Ford Otosan, it gave the brand a modern entry in European and other international long-haul markets.
The F-MAX is focused mainly on 4x2 articulated-haulage work and sits above the broader F-LINE range as Ford Trucks’ premium highway model. It has remained within one main generation, supported by regular technical, safety and cabin updates. Versions include the standard F-MAX and the longer-wheelbase F-MAX L and F-MAX LL. The F-MAX Select was also offered as a limited-edition variation.
Notable qualities include a full-width, high-roof sleeper cab, flat-floor interior and an emphasis on driver comfort during extended journeys. Ecotorq diesel power, automated transmission, connected services and predictive or adaptive driver-assistance systems support its focus on efficiency, uptime and operating costs. A major 2025 update brought revised styling, digital mirrors and the second-generation Ecotorq engine while retaining the F-MAX’s position as Ford Trucks’ principal long-haul tractor.
